ELVIS' HORSE
YES, I do mean THAT Elvis. There's another???? After Elvis' untimely death, it was suggested
that the public be allowed to see an exhibition of his favorite Horse, a beautiful jet black
Tennessee Walking Horse named Ebony's Double.
The honor of
preparing the
horse for show
ring exhibition
was bestowed on
Southern Serenity
Ranch and
Howard Hamilton.
Should I mention
that the Hamilton
family were happy
to accept this
special
appointment?.
A very large, excited crowd had chill
bumps as "The King's" wonderful
mount went strolling proudly around
the big oval. A familiar voice sang
with each step. It was as if he knew
his Master would be so proud of him
and I'm certain it was one exhibit
that will never be forgotten. I'm sure
that had we looked closely, we
would have seen TWO riders that
night. As much as Elvis loved that
horse, I'm certain he'd have never
missed that ride!
